Part of this is a 2.51 percent increase in salaries and wages for township employees, up to $8,948,192 from $8,728,783, according to a copy of the draft budget provided to Patch. On Monday night, township officials pointed to a need to fill vacant positions within township government that remained unfilled due to the coronavirus pandemic as part of the need for that increase.
