AUBURN, ALA. - Auburn defeated Clemson 11-7 in a 12-inning scrimmage at Plainsman Park on Saturday. The teams combined for 29 hit.Auburn struck first on two sacrifice flies before Dylan Brewer ripped a two-run double in the fourth inning to tie the score 2-2. Bryar Hawkins followed with a run-scoring single to give Clemson the lead. Auburn responded with two runs in the fifth and sixth innings to go ahead 7-3. Brewer cut into the deficit with a solo long ball for his third RBI on the day, then freshman Gavin Abrams lofted a two-run homer to bring Clemson within two runs. Cooper Ingle, Brewer, Hawkins and Tyler Corbitt each collected multi-hit games.Twelve pitchers tossed an inning apiece for Clemson.The Tigers conclude the fall season with three Orange & Purple Scrimmages. Game 1 is set for Friday at 6 p.m. at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.
