FORT COLLINS A residential development project that will rehabilitate a commercial property in downtown Fort Collins is again underway after being sidetracked by effects of the pandemic.
The project, a five-story, 197-unit apartment complex called Willow Street Residences and located at 223 Willow St., was forced into foreclosure as a result of an unpaid loan, which coupled with contractor-filed liens totaling millions of dollars, stopped the work on the project.
Public records show that the foreclosure action has been withdrawn and liens have been paid and released. A redemption certificate was filed with Larimer County in late March, indicating that all delinquent property taxes and penalties have been paid. CA Residential Fort Collins Property Owner LLC, a division of Chicago-based CA Ventures, remains as the property developer.
