Grab your telescope, look for a dark place and pray for no clouds, as Astronomy Day is today. It is a day to look up to the stars.
This date was established to promote astronomy to the general public. Astronomy clubs and groups use this day to help teach the people about the stars, and other celestial bodies in the universe â like the full moon tonight.
These groups take advantage of this day to offer people a view through a telescope of the stars, planets, moons, etc., if possible.
However, on clear nights, you can just go to a dark area (without house, street or car lights), lay down a blanket on the grass, lie down on your back and look up at the evening sky, and view the moon and stars in the shape of several constellations. Even dream up some of your own constellations. As they say, âthe skyâs the limitâ. Well, the sky and your mind.
