Troy University along with Friends of Army Aviation, military personnel and the Wiregrass community banded together on Saturday to honor our nation’s servicemembers during the second annual Armed Forces Day.

The May 15 event will feature rides for the public in a historic UH-1 Huey helicopter, along with several other attractions.
Friends of Army Aviation, a Wiregrass nonprofit dedicated to preserving the legacy of U.S. Army Aviation, is joining forces with Troy University for an Armed Forces Day celebration Saturday, May 15 at TROY’s Dothan Campus.
The celebration’s featured attraction is the FOAA’s Ride program, which will give customers a chance to fly in a historic UH-1 Huey helicopter.
The day-long program begins at 8 a.m. and features a parachute demonstration from the Round Canopy Parachuting Team-USA at 9:30 a.m., flag demonstrations, recognition of all branches of the U.S. military, FOAA’s Traveling Aviation Museum, and food vendors, among other attractions.
