The speed and efficiency of our vaccine rollout is a source of national pride. The Government has met its 15th February target of vaccinating the four highest priority groups, with over 15.5 million people across the UK having received their first dose as of Monday. This is a tremendous success and I pay tribute to the NHS staff, GPs, scientists, military personnel, volunteers, and all others involved here in Dorset. Everyone aged 65 and over can now book their vaccination by calling 119 or visiting the NHS website. Last Wednesday was a busy day in the House of Commons. At Transport Select Committee in the morning, I pointed out that London buses enjoy considerably more funding per journey when compared to rural areas like Dorset. As the Government levels-up the country, it is vital that rural communities remain connected.
