KATHMANDU, Aug 15: The Federation of Contractors’ Association of Nepal (FCAN) has formed a five-member negotiation team under the leadership of its president Rabi Singh to engage in discussions with the government. After receiving an official letter from the Office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers, the FCAN held a meeting on Tuesday and decided to form the negotiation team.
KATHMANDU, July 30: On May 1, 2023, the Chinese government resumed two-way trade via Tatopani-Khasa border point after a hiatus of nine years. The decision was made in line with the first meeting of the Nepal-China Coordination Mechanism on Border Trade and Cooperation held on March 29 in Lhasa, Tibet that decided to resume operation of Tatopani-Khasa route and ensure full fledged operation of Rasuwagadhi/Kerung check point for two-way trade and people to people movement beginning April 1.
TATOPANI, May 11: The Tatopani transit point on the Nepal-China border in Sindhupalchok district, opened for full-fledged operation on May 1, raising high hopes of increased trade. The transit point was closed to control the COVID-19 outbreak in March 2020.
