Vulcanizer caged for stealing two saloon cars LISTEN MAR 11, 2021 Samuel Idan, a 32-year-old Vulcanizer has been remanded into Police custody by a Cape Coast Circuit Court for allegedly stealing two saloon cars. He pleaded not guilty to the charge of stealing and the court presided over by Mrs. Dorinda Arthur Smith adjourned the trial to Wednesday, March 17. Prosecuting, Sergeant Yakubu Iddrisu said, the accused a resident of Apewosika, a suburb of Cape Coast, has refused to return the two saloon cars he rented from one Ibrahim Osman, the complainant, a resident of Adisadel. He said the cars being a Toyota Corolla and Hyundai Elantra with registration numbers CR 1706-20 and GR 8921-16 respectively per an agreement, were rented by the accused who was supposed to return them a week after.

Dompoase Accident Driver Jailed Five-Years For Manslaughter

  The infamous driver in the accident that claimed 34 lives at Dompoase junction early this year, was on Thursday, sentenced to five-year imprisonment by the Cape Coast High Court. The convict, Mireku Mark, 45, had earlier on Monday, June 8, given a year’s jail term by a Circuit Court in Cape Coast on 34 counts of dangerous driving and negligently causing harm after pleading guilty. The Circuit Court banned him from operating as a commercial driver for life and also fined him GH¢17,280.00 or in default serve two years in addition. The Attorney-General’s Office in Cape Coast led by the State Attorney, Mrs. Joyce Odame prayed for a higher sentence.
