Among the posters being displayed from Friday at the London Transport Museum is one (above) dating from 1911, showing a well-dressed female traveller promoting the Tube.
The posters were produced by artist Dora Batty in the 1920s and 1930s. Above: Her advert for Trooping the Colour in June 1936, when Edward VIII made his only parade appearance.
