International Women's Day is a global day that celebrates women's achievements while also taking stock of challenges women continue to confront. On this day we also reflect on the outstanding contributions of leaders like Charlotte Maanya-Maxeke, Lillian Ngoyi, Josi Mpama, Ray Alexander and Dora Tamana who became significant liberation voices through participation in international campaigns of socialist and liberation movements.
