DOOLY COUNTY, Ga. Retired educators and members of Dooly County are remembering the life of their beloved former Coach Harry Ward who died last month.
David Barron played basketball for Coach Harry Ward at Dooly County High in the 70s. I lived in Byronville and I had no way home and what Coach Ward said was, I can see something in you. He said, What Imma do is, I ll take you home , Barron said.
Ward began teaching in 1961. In 1966, he came to Dooly County High, which then was Vienna High School, and impacted students and athletes lives for over 20 years.

DOOLY COUNTY, Ga. A Dooly County teacher tested positive for COVID-19 and still shows up to work every day to educate his students virtually. Mr. Teeple s the best teacher that I ve had at Dooly County High School, Dooly County High School Junior Leigh Brackin said.
She wrote 13WMAZ about her agriculture teacher. Roger Teeple s dedication to his students inspires her. I m in his special Ed class and he makes it more understandable for me. Some teachers would just say here s the work and just do it. He ll actually explain what it is you have to do and give it to you, she said.
