are they going to prosecute? where is that going to go? if it s not strong evidence. we have a candidate for president. lesser individuals, for lesser sins, have faced far harsher penalties just for having documents in a place they shouldn t be. that s right. we saw that with petraeus, other people. wouldn t that reek of a double standard if no one decides to take action? again, depending on the fbi recommending something. certainly with this level of people that we re talking about, when we look at the unfairness of a broad part of this statute that is criticized, it s for people who didn t realize they should have an attorney, but we know clinton is an attorney and they ask naive, student questions. jew have to handle that carefully you have to handle that carefully. it s the justice department. you know it will look political if you don t take action. so are you blind to that? justice is blind? or blinders on, you move based
well-to-do part of town has a much, much lower asthma rate. among children going to elementary school it s about 7% on the upper east side and about 19% in east harlem. does more attention need to be paid on the connection between pollution and inequality? absolutely. i mean, we ve been making that connection, but certainly we have to continue to push. and in particular related to climate. what climate change does is it increases temperature, which is going to raise ozone levels. it s going to increase allergy seasons. the very asthma that that gentleman was talking about is going to get worse in those communities if we don t take action. and the great part about our clean power plant and the work that the president is spearheading is it s not going to just drive down carbon pollution but it s going to drive down air pollution in general that is already impacting those kids.
again which we have opposed on the matter of precedent that congress does not tend to vote on agreements like this. they have not in the past. but at the same time there are provisions that bring in issues like terrorism that take away the president s waiver authorities already in existing legislation. so we d have problems with this legislation in its own right, but our principle focus right now is let s give time and space to the negotiators to get this done. we ll put forward the deal before congress. then they ll be able to make a judgment. but don t take action over the course of the next couple of months that could jeopardize the negotiations and by backing the iranians and the rest of the world away from the table wf. one final question. are you about to remove cuba from the state department list of countries that support terrorism? the president initiated a review of cuba s president on that list concurrent with his announcement about the process of normalization with cuba.
and specifically punish lawmakers who don t take action on that issue. but you also have some other folks, myself a little bit included, who feel that going down this road and throwing money on top of money on top of money may not make that much of a difference and is only going to have a harmful effect on elections and campaigns and frankly our democracy. well, i m wondering, andy, is it an equal playing field? are there as many big-money super pac liberals as there are conservatives s out there oper right now? it s definitely tilted toward the right. the numbers from the 2012 election bear this out. most of the biggest super pacs, most of the biggest political nonprofit groups, the so-called dark money groups, if you will, are tilted toward the right. i think what stier is trying to do is the balance that out. and if you have a whole cottage industry of think tanks and other groups stoking doubts about climate science and trying
forget the legislating. let the punishments be severe harsh and quick. the real issue is dana, you hit it, parents aren t teaching kids. when your kids are getting bullied they re up in arms. when your kid is the bully, it s okay, i don t want to deal with it. these kids need to be taught what you re doing is hurting kids. absolutely could be happening. i was going to say to andrea, it s not just boys. the cyber bullying and things that happen online. a lot of girls involved. these programs aren t helping. why do you think? i agree girls have become worse than boys. i believe because the schools don t take action. they say they do, but they don t. to eric s point, parents aren t wanting to deal with their child being accused as a bully.
