turnaround. president obama said it was going to happen, and it did. and keep in mind, there s no number that the conservatives would be happy with. there isn t a number out there anywhe anywhere. they don t want this. they want for-profit, they know this is incrementally taking us down the road to universal health care. we ll take a little bit at a time. this is the argument that democrats have got to talk about on the road. bill clinton s got it right, don t run away from obamacare. let s go to round two. this is all round two will make it better. don t talk about fixes, talk about round two. that s the thing, conservatives are real scared about round two. because round two could be a public option. round through universal health care because that s what the american people want. it s all going to be good when we go to the polls in november. what s it going to be like in november? gosh, where we were in october and where we are today, this guy, he wasn t afraid to say that. so now
i mean, don t run away from the affordable care act. talk about the benefits of the affordable care act, which the american people are increasingly seeing. so be strong about obamacare, but also, again, focus on those other fundamental questions, right? economic security issues, minimum wage, trying to make sure that more people benefit from a growing economy, getting the economy kicked into higher gear. all of that is part and parcel of the message that the affordable care act is an important piece of it. and again, republicans only have that negative message. they ve been saying for years they re going to come up with an alternative and they can t do it. in fact, they ve got nothing to run on except the negativity, and that s not a message for the american people at this point in time. they cannot go home and say, we ve helped out on jobs. they can t do it. nope. and they have offered nothing on health care. and seven months out, for them to stake their claim on trying
the answer, joe, four years ago we were dealing with a candidate who was laughed off the stage for being someone who was running as the first african-american potential candidate and he was not. he became president. he defied all odds. what are the troubling aspects of mitt romney s biography that mark halperin is talking about here that could be such stumbling blocks for him? i don t get it. i personally don t see troubling aspects of his biography. talk about who he is. the only thing i see troubling mitt romney has been reticent the three things that defined his life, mormonism, talk about it. what it means to be to be a mormon and means to your family and how it helped you raise five incredible boys. number two, money. don t run away from money. if i were running for president, my wife had a million dollar horse, guess what? i would pummel about the head anybody that questioned how i spent the money that i made

pacs and don t run away from something that is really good. here is how i break it down. the democrats seem to be having somewhat of a confidence problem when it comes to health care in america right now. they know whats and how good it is but they are not sure how they are going to talk about it. the numbers. the numbers, the numbers don t lie. the fact of the matter is by the end of this month, there will be 6 million people who have signed up. i said 5 million by march 1st. gosh. i apologize. i missed it by 16 days. so the bottom line is the next four months, april, may, june, july, the democrats are going to have four more months of numbers because you see in august when they go home and do town halls, they better have it figured out how they want to explain how wonderful the affordable health care act really is. so the democrats will have more numbers and then they will have almost a year of positive things
