there s a good lesson here. don t rob a store, don t intimidate a clerk, don t fight a cop for his gun, listen to a cop when he says get off the street. the lesson here is if you re going to run a city with a police department run it so that it is not kevin should these people we re talking about be arrested? should they be arrested? absolutely. if you re going to go after the people if you re going to go after darren wilson and you exonerate him and you do what you re supposed to do you should be looking for everybody who led to the lies that have destroyed his life up to this point. but it s worse than that, sean. what eric holder s essentially doing is he s now wanting to take all of this stuff that was created on a lie and he wants to blame it on a police department where nobody was complaining. and the nine jurisdictions i was talking about black people were complaining to the attorney general. nobody contacted eric holder and said, hey, we re being prosecuted by or
this b down he wasn t arrested. and all those people that were looting we ve been showing, none of them were arrested. should they be arrested now? if you were looting you should be arrested. the stepfather shouldn t be arrested for inciting a riot? he said on camera that he shouldn t have made those comments. even the president of the united states denounced his comments. those should not have been made. but the fact of the matter it does not take away what happened in that moment when officer wilson confronted there s a good lesson here. don t rob a store, don t intimidate a clerk, don t fight a cop for his gun, listen to a cop when he says get off the street. the lesson here is if you re going to run a city with a police department run it so that it is not kevin should these people we re talking about be arrested? should they be arrested? absolutely. if you re going to go after the people if you re going to go after darren wilson and you exonerate him and you do
i want go ahead. because we watch all these protests. we ve sent our cameras out. we ve asked the protesters, did they know about the case, did they read the evidence that was presented to the grand jury. they didn t. i ll do it now. in the case of michael brown, there s a lesson to be learned. don t rob a store, don t intimidate a clerk, don t fight a cop for his gun, don t charge at him like a football player with his head down. let s go to the eyewitnesses in the case, most of which happen to be black. from the grand jury testimony, i could say for sure that brown never put his hands up after he did his body gesture. sean, sean, sean. wait a minute. i m going to finish and then i ll give you the floor. he ran toward the officer full charge. witness 30, i heard a lot of people talking about how brown had his hands up, he did not have his hands up. witness number 40. he turned around with an attitude. the cops just stood there.
just making these problems up. here with reaction milwaukee county sheriff david clarke is with us. mr. clarke, thank you for being here. appreciate it. i have different takes on both of these. and i look at, for example, michael brown. i think there s lessons to be learned. don t rob, don t intimidate clerks, don t try and steal a cop s gun, don t charge at him like a football player with your head down. i don t see race in that case, do you? not at all. two very distingts cases. what we re getting our out of leadership is groveling and opportunism. there s problems in all aspects of america, but the police are not at the heart of it. i m going to fight with the aggressiveness of a junk yard dog to defend our men and women who put on uniform every day and go out in the right fashion, police and keep their communities safe. they risk their lives doing this. these individuals should have to experience just for one day what it would be like in these american cities without the police
has to change. people need to know that black lives and brown lives matter as much as white lives. all lives must be valued. all lives. african-american, most particularly african-american men, are still more likely to be stopped and searched by police, charged with crimes and sentenced to longer prison terms. there are still problems. and communities of color aren t just making these problems up. here with reaction milwaukee county sheriff david clarke is with us. mr. clarke, thank you for being here. appreciate it. i have different takes on both of these. and i look at, for example, michael brown. i think there s lessons to be learned. don t rob, don t intimidate clerks, don t try and steal a cop s gun, don t charge at him like a football player with your head down. i don t see race in that case, do you? not at all. two very distingts cases. what we re getting our out of
