these little boats and trying to make it away from, say, libya. why do they do this? it s a desperate situation. so many people i ve talked to when they have landed in italy or in the migrant camps say it s worth the risk. they are fleeing a situation they don t feel they have a future and feel their lives are in danger. women from nigeria were worried for their children and daughters. they have their own story of desperation and come on the boats to take the risk. the risk to them is worth it, even though life here is, obviously, very difficult for them. there is very little work. they are treated, living in in humane conditions until they get on their feet. a lot try to join family and french speaking africans that try to get to germany and try to get into the uk but they are met with a lot of opposition. people just don t have jobs.
underemployed at best, one out of five american men unemployed, you would never import millions of new low wage workers, that is giving the finger to american workers. why is nobody saying that? not importing new people. these people are already here. quite frankly there s 2.65 million jobs created this year, that s more than any year since the 1990s. that s a fact. but they didn t go to americans. but you would rather have more jobs than less. not 28-hour a week jobs, is that fair? yes i get it, right can you look me right in the eye and say bringing in millions of new workers, which is the president s intent and he s on the road to doing that is good for people who are unemployed now? high school graduates in the u.s. who don t have jobs, is that good for them? that wouldn t be good for them, the only problem is it s happening already thank you. these folks already working
him for using social media. i would. let s talk about the bigger issue, it s race relations in america. the question is, is ferguson an example and basically just sort of the focal point of a discussion in this country that we are not as far along as you would like to think, in terms of race relations and there s some the commentary coming out of it from harvard law school, take a listen to the reaction. i think about what my father and grand father told me about ration relations way back when i was a young kid. and it s worse now, when you think of people who don t have jobs, who can t go to school, who can t get health care, we are in a situation right now that will create ferguson over and over and over again. it s not just in ferguson, missouri, it s going to be around the country. i don t think he s correct. i think there s a heightened focus on his incidents for a number of factors, one, we have lowered crime rates, combined

benefits and are encouraging politicians to keep resisting spending even if it would help them. where does that disconnect come from? there s all sorts of areas where a fixed ideology that has no support in the empirical data gets into people s heads and that s what becomes important and there s also an element of racism in here. when young people don t have jobs, the data shows that if they don t early on get good jobs, that effect tends to last a lifetime. we have a large number of people over 50 who have not been hired back anywhere near where they were. they may have the good-paying jobs and if they get back to the labor force, they are going to make significantly less money because we are not investing in the future of america. we are disinvesting in it at the assistance of the house republicans and some of the senate republicans. yeah. so message to congress, particularly congressional republicans, these good numbers could be better if you would
