finally tonight, the health care battle is not over yet. the senate still has to pass a reconciliation bill containing fixes to the legislation that president obama signed today. and republicans will use every parliament tear tactic they can think of in a last-ditch attempt to derail the bill. senate started debating the bill this afternoon. a final vote could take place this weekend. for a look at what we can expect between now and then let s go to independent senator from vermont, bernie sanders. senator, good to have you with us. good to be with you. what s this week going to be like? well, all i can tell you is i m scheduled to be in the chair at 2:00 this morning so it looks like it s going to be a pretty tough week with 24-hour sessions. the republicans obviously are continuing their obstructionist role. no, no, no, don t go forward. at the end of the day i think we re going to pass reconciliation and improve the bill that was passed and signed by the president today. do
and they come to see the error of their ways. they re not bad people, they ve been misled. bill: here s the rub and you can address this, at one point, 11 graduates showed up in yemen and some of these 11 are now leaders of al-qaeda in the ribban peninsula and on the face, that s what tells americans back here don t go forward with more gitmo detainees going back to their home countries. i m certain you asked the saudis about that, they say what? they say this program may not work for the truly, truly hard, hard core. but for most of the people, even those at gitmo, it does seem to work. bill: you know the issue, though, and the big distinction is this: if you re an inmate in jail and you ve stolen and now you re released and in the public, you might steal again. absolutely. bill: if you re a terrorist, you might kill. absolutely. so far these guys have only showed up in yemen. supposing they show up on our shores or in europe, and intending to blow us up again, i mean, that is t
