American victims named after 45 people are crushed to death at Jewish festival

AT LEAST four Americans were trampled to death in the stampede that claimed 45 people during an Israel celebration that turned into a “death trap,” reports say.
The American victims have been named as Daniel “Donny” Morris, 19; Shraga Gestetner, 33; Yosef Amram Tauber, 18; and Rabbi Eliezer Tzvi Josef, 26.

They died at the annual pilgrimage of Lag BaOmer in Mount Meron just after midnight on Thursday night.
Daniel Morris, 19, of Bergenfield, New Jersey, Shraga Gestetner, 33, of Monsey, New York, Yosef Amram Tauber, 18, of Monsey, and Eliezer Josef, 26, of Kiryas Joel, New York were identified among the dead, according to ABC News.
One of the victims was 19-year-old Donny Morris, from Bergenfield, New Jersey, who was seen photographed shortly before the stampede. He was a graduate of Mrasha Stern Talmudical Academy in Manhattan, and was studying in the country during a gap year, according to his uncle. Members of the Jewish community in the town visited the Morris family home to comfort the grieving parents and family. Thankfully the Bergenfield community, as is the nature of all good people, come together with renewed strength and endless compassion, said Rabbi Yakov Neuberger of Congregation Beth Abraham.
