Two Princeton University professors have become knight and dame in honors from Queen Elizabeth II announced by the British Government this week: David MacMillan of the Department of Chemistry and Linda Colley of the Department of History.
Cassidy Humphreys, a chemistry concentrator working with Nobel Prize winner David MacMillan, describes her journey at the University. “It’s taken me years, but I think I’ve made my mark on Princeton.”
MacMillan’s one-hour lecture offered words of solidarity, a primer on asymmetric organocatalysis, and heartfelt sentiment about the redemptive mission of science. Nearly 50 young scientists tuned in from besieged cities across Ukraine.
