(BEDFORD) – Myra Shipman’s last board meeting for the Bedford Housing Authority was Thursday afternoon. Shipman has served on the board for more than 8 years.

(BEDFORD) – The Bedford Housing Authority Board of Commissioner approved a plan to have monthly fire drills at the Bedford Hauck House.
The fire safety plan includes adding maps in hallways and stairways to improve public safety at the facility. Each apartment has a map posted in it.
The Bedford Fire Department works with the Hauck House in providing fire prevention and fire protection information to the residents and employees of the facility.
The facility is a no-smoking facility.
The board also passed a resolution giving victims of domestic violence priority in obtaining housing at the Bedford Housing Authority locations.
