EUGENE, Ore. The River Road community rallied in support of a West Eugene family who became a victim of a hate crime this week.
More than 100 people lined River Road near the intersection of Park Avenue waving signs in support of the Visconti family Friday evening.
Cars also drove by honking their horns as a way of showing support. Eugene resident, Donna Samson, was one of the people in the crowd. She said she was shocked to learn a racially motivated hate crime happened in her city.
