At the Marion County Board of Education central office, Hage, a former assistant superintendent in Harrison County, was officially sworn in by Judge Patrick Wilson Thursday night. Hage, 48, was chosen for the position by the board on June 7 in a rare, 3-2 split vote. She was recommended from a pool of five candidates after Randy Farley, the previous superintendent, announced his retirement.
