Xeikon America, Inc. and Grandville Printing Company today announced that Grandville has become the first North American print provider to acquire Xeikon’s newest graphic arts press, the Xeikon SX30000. Grandville is a large midwestern printer with printing capabilities at three locations, and has a total of eight Xeikon presses.
“Many of our jobs require 24-hour turnaround, and we were truly impressed by the Xeikon SX30000’s speed and the quality of its output,” said Grandville’s Manufacturing Engineer Bruce Beery. A digital press is no small investment, and deciding which is the right one can be tough for any print service provider. Much has been written on inkjet technology, and the same can be said for toner-based presses. But the same

Xeikon is pleased to announce that the first Xeikon Café TV of 2021 has been scheduled for February 11 & 25, 2021. The theme of this two-part online event is the âBenefits of Digital Printingâ and is specifically focused on the interests of current conventional flexo owners. This event, as are all Xeikon Café TV online events, is open to the public and complimentary.
The benefits of digital printing are well known but not always implemented: short-run, multi-versioning, faster lead-times, personalization, variable data, and the ability to say yes to more jobs. But, many conventional label converters still look for information on new revenue opportunities and profitability. They also are interested in learning how to sell and monetize digital features such as variable data or shorter lead times to brand owners.
Xeikon has released details of the second part of its online event, Xeikon Café TV scheduled for February 2021, which will focus on digital printing benefits.
Xeikon Café is a multi-vendor industry event dedicated to end-to-end digital production where attendees can learn about complementary printing techniques, connect with other industry innovators and discover new techniques and applications. With a strong focus on education, inspiration, and networking, the events are designed to help printing professionals understand, evaluate and experience digitizing print manufacturing, and enable them to make conscious business decisions.
According to the company, the February edition of Xeikon Café TV will create the opportunity for brand owners and converters to explore digital printing and understand how they could benefit from it.
