Local residents braved the cold and deep, new-fallen snow to take part in Wreaths Across America Dec. 17 and honor veterans buried in Peterborough’s East Hill, Pine Hill and Village cemeteries, following a ceremony at the town’s Memorial Gate on.
Not everyone who served in the military is acknowledged or remembered. For the families of those who paid the ultimate price, it can be especially painful. Now, some are trying to get a group of soldiers acknowledged - 60 years after they died en route to a mission in Vietnam.
