Saskatchewan’s government has appointed five new members to the board of the Saskatchewan Health Authority, the first shakeup at the oversight body since it was founded four years ago.
Arlene Wiks will helm the 10-member board after a term chairing the board of Saskatchewan Government Insurance.

Marvin L. Johns, 95, of Shell Knob, died Sunday, Feb. 21, 2021, at The Missouri Veterans Home, Mount Vernon.
He was born Oct. 22, 1925, in Quinlan, Okla., the son of Roy and Laverne Johns. He received his diploma from Quinlan High School in 1943, and earned a bachelors degree from Asbury College in 1950, and later, a masters degree from Wichita State University. He was a WW II veteran, serving as a paratrooper and communications tech in the 101st Airborne Division.
He married Ruth Kenrick, May 30, 1950; she preceded him in death.
He and his wife Ruth were educators and made their home in Wichita, Kan., where they raised their son Mike. Upon retirement in 1987, they moved to Shell Knob.
