Both sides have claimed victory in the latest installment of an increasingly acrimonious legal dispute between Beyond Meat and its former co-manufacturer Don Lee Farms triggered by the early termination of an exclusive five-year supply agreement the two parties signed in December 2014. In a May 7 ruling at the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles (‘Hearing on motion for summary adjudication’) Judge Holly J. Fujie said Don Lee Farms was “ entitled to summary adjudication”​ over Beyond Meat’s alleged failure to pay invoices to Don Lee, adding that: “ The Court finds that Beyond Meat has not presented sufficient admissible evidence to raise a triable issue of material fact as to whether Don Lee Farms fully performed.”​
