Walls of love built in downtown Gastonia

Walls of love built in downtown Gastonia If you re in need of love, you can find it downtown where Walls of Love has built its 889th Wall of Love outside the Salvation Army for the homeless and others in need. The Ohio-Based organization, Walls of Love, travels across the country covering walls with plastic bags full of basic necessities such as toothpaste, soap, and non-perishable food items. The organization s founder, Holly Jackson, was once homeless herself but has found a way to pay it forward.   Twenty-nine years ago, I was pregnant with my oldest daughter and leaving a domestic violence situation. At the time, I could only stay at the homeless shelter for three days, Jackson said. I couldn t receive help because I had a job so I ve been pregnant, sleeping on benches and under bridges, because of the three-day rule.
