SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union - The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has issued job fair clearance to 27 local government unit (LGUs) sponsored and organized face-to-face (F2F) job fairs in the Ilocos Region as of March 22. In a statement on Wednesday, DOLE Ilocos regional office said nine job fairs are set this month, eight in April, and seven others throughout the year. "The resumption of the F2F job fairs is a celebration of the reinvigorated thrust of DOLE to strengthen its partnerships with the LGUs, through their respective Public Employment Services Office (PESO), in fulfilling their shared mandate on employment facilitation," DOLE Ilocos regional director lawyer Evelyn Ramos said. Ramos said the F2F format remains to be the more effective and engaging platform for job seekers.
