EAST ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) On Easter Sunday, one of the busiest days local restaurants have seen in months, some business owners say the expansion to 75% capacity is not as good as it looks.
While they say the new guidance is a step in the right direction, social distancing is making it difficult for them to welcome more guests back. It is good in theory, 75 percent, says Peg Oliveri of Barnard s Restaurant and Party House in Greece. We are at 50 percent capacity socially distanced.
Oliveri says many of her customers inquired about the restaurant s COVID safety protocols ahead of today s Easter brunch service. She says although people are starting to get more comfortable in public, people are still interested in adhering to safety protocols like masks, sanitization, and social distancing (which are all still recommended by the CDC).
