The Clarendon Hills Park District plans to analyze its financial picture over the next month or two to determine how much it can afford to spend on major improvements and additions to its Lions Park Pool.

CLARENDON HILLS, IL The Clarendon Hills Park District had expected to pay for more than half the renovation of its community center with a state grant, but lost out on the grant when the district failed to turn in a key document, a former official says.
The district s executive director says officials weren t counting on the state money.
Recently, Darcy Gans, the district s former director of marketing, communications and corporate sponsorship, wrote a message to Patch titled Leading a Government Agency Shouldn t Be a Lark in a Park, in which she criticized the district s leadership. In January, Gans was placed on furlough. She said her job was eliminated this spring. She has worked for the district for 15 years.
