A Florida man is charged in a terrifying attack on his own family after his girlfriend and daughter were almost killed over the weekend.
Pierre Francois, who’s believed to be mentally ill, is accused of beating his mother with a piece of wood, throwing his 1-year-old baby out of a window of their one-story home and stabbing his girlfriend in both eyes, leaving her permanently blind, authorities said.
The child sustained traumatic brain injuries and remains unresponsive, prosecutors reportedly told a judge during in a court hearing this week. She and her mother are hospitalized in critical condition.

A Florida man was accused of throwing his own baby out of a window and stabbing his girlfriend in the eyes, leaving her blind.
Pierre Gabriel Ludovic Francois, 29, was arrested for three counts of attempted murder and one count of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, said a report from the Broward Sheriff s Office Saturday.
According to NBC Miami, the incident happened at their home in Northwest 12th Court. His mother first found Francois in a rage.
The report said he began acting like he was mad and punched the walls and doors in the home.
