Marc Jason Lawson, 49, of Cleveland, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 26, 2020, following a brief illness.
A graduate of Polk County High School, he was known to many friends as Catfish in recognition of his love for fishing.
He held a bachelor s degree in business from Jacksonville, Ala., State University, a master s of divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and a master s in education from William Carey University in Hattiesburg, Miss.
A member of First Baptist Church of Cleveland, he was employed by Whirlpool Corp., at the time of his death.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Gary Lawson.
