After originally hoping to open in time for Fiesta 2020, Aaron Peña (who also owns The Squeezebox) and Brian Correa (owner of Bar America, which has been in his family for decades) put their hope in a better 2021 and in January, opened Amor Eterno, transforming the former Don Martin’s Coffee Co. on South Presa Street into an intimate venue meant for close conversation, craft cocktails and elevated bites. “Both of our other bars are crazy and loud,” Peña says. “We wanted the opposite of that, so there’s a place where you can go on a nice date, have some good food and great cocktails a bar for adults.” They deliver just that with a carefully curated menu of classic and creative cocktails plus ceviche wonton tacos, Tejano Cubanos, carnitas Benedict and more. SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio is getting a new craft cocktail bar concept in Southtown called Amor Eterno.
The menu for Amor Eterno is inspired by “Tejano street fare,” according to a spokesperson. Menu items, developed in partnership with popular pop-up concept ¡Bucho!, will include things like ceviche wonton tacos, hot chicken tacos, Tejano Cubano, Ol’ Fashion donut and more.
Craft cocktails will also be offered. Cocktails are touted as having “local flavors” which have been developed by co-owner and bar veteran Aaron Peña.
