this is the cbs evening news with scott pelley. reporting tonight from manchester, new hampshire. pelley: good evening from the granite state where mitt romney s lead heading into tomorrow s republican primary is rock-solid. the latest polling shows him 13 points ahead of ron paul. romney at 33%, paul at 20%. and one week after romney s narrow, narrow victory in iowa, a cbs news poll just out tonight finds him the favorite of republicans nationally with 19% followed by newt gingrich at 15% rick santorum at 14% and paul at 10%. it s the first time romney s had the lead to himself since october. well, not entirely to himself. he is tied with someone else. that so far non-existent candidate that 19% of the blicans hope will get into the race. and here in new hampshire, jan crawford tells us that everyone else was out to stop the front-runner today. jan? reporter: well, scott, up until now, romney s challengers have attacked him as a moderate, saying he wasn t conservative
