diplomatic talks unfolding in the middle east for days secretary of state anthony blinken macon to unannounced visits today and the israeli occupied west bank and in iraq. in a meeting with secretary blinken reaffirmed americas commitment to address the humanitarian crisis unfolding in gaza. the state department says blinken also discussed efforts to restore stability to the west bank. over the past few weeks, tensions have spilled over there as israeli and a surprise visit to back that, secretary blinken met with iraq s prime minister to talk about the importance of preventing the war from spreading into a wider regional conflict. lincoln over under is humanitarian pause in fighting aid for civilians into the gaza strip. this is a process. israel s race raised important questions about how humanitarian policies would work. we have to answer those questions. second, it is important that the pause advance a number of things, one of them as hostages. we are intens
spokesperson, the president told blinken there should be an 88 cease-fire between israel and hamas, and that humanitarian aid must be allowed into gaza. state department officials say secretary blinken made it clear in this meeting that the u.s. has a quote, commitment to the delivery of life-saving humanitarian assistance, and resumption of essential services in gaza, and made clear that palestinians must not be forcibly displaced, and quote. blinken s visit came right after another israeli airstrike on a refugee camp in central gaza early this morning, which killed at least 47 people and wounded dozens more, according to the health ministry and gaza. this brings the death toll in gaza up to more than 9700 since october the 7th. 4800 of those dead are believed to be children, though nbc is unable to independently verify those numbers. the attack came as israel said it would press on with its offensive in gaza, despite appeals from the united states and other nations for a pa
things where he just says what he wants to say. sure, because he s surrounded by the thought that he believes in, he s surrounded by people who say what he wants to hear. i was there last summer, the protests looked bigger than today. much bigger. and he s not the first american president to be pr protested. i was there with president bush during the height of the iraq war. he was protested. most presidents simply ignore and don t talk about it. but president trump has to quarrel with the fact that we can see with our own eyes. and president trump s adult children also made the trip, eric and don junior, tiffany, and ivanka works for the administration. some of the trump children see themselves in a royal family kind of way. and one said that mr. kushner and ivanka had grown more emboldened with their requests to be included at social events. they do work, but we don t know why don junior and eric and tiffany trump are there.
