Illegal firearms in homes and in the hands of the wrong people and when children have access to firearms, bad things happen. Reporter while this was happening across town police were investigating another shooting. A young adult man was shot multiple times and killed early this afternoon on the 4900 block of east capitol street in south of east right in front of the st. Lukes catholic church. More than a dozen shots were fired. Police say it does not appear that this shooting had anything to do with the church. Detectives are still investigating that. They havent released a motive.
