By Don DeLash A pet peeve that is drawn out every year at this time is when advertisers wrench Christmas carols into their own awful jingles. I love Gus, the Pennsylvania Lottery groundhog, but there should be strict penalties for whomever created the dopey lottery jingle to the tune of “The Twelve Days of Christmas.”    That is beaten to the bottom only by the USPS cringe-worthy jingle to the same tune. This has to stop. Bad, shallow lyrics to the tune of Christmas songs is no substitute for creativity, which is what I thought advertisers were all about.   If by the grace of Gus, I win the lottery in 2024 and am elected your president, I promise to put a stop to bad Christmas advertising jingles.
