New Delhi: Two days after quitting the Trinamool Congress, Rajib Banerjee is likely to join the BJP on Sunday in presence of Home Minister Amit Shah.
Rajib, a former minister in Mamata Banerjee cabinet, on Friday resigned from the Trinamool Congress and as MLA of the West Bengal Assembly. He was the forest minister in the West Bengal government and represented the Domjur Assembly seat in Howrah. I have resigned as the MLA of the state assembly. I submitted my resignation letter to the speaker. I thank my party supremo Mamata Banerjee for providing me with the opportunity to serve the masses, Rajib, a two-time MLA, said in his resignation letter.

Kolkata: Hours after quitting as the MLA of the West Bengal Assembly, Rajib Banerjee on Friday resigned from the primary membership of the TMC, intensifying speculation that he might soon switch over to the BJP.
Banerjee sent his resignation letter to TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee, thanking her for the opportunities given to him to serve the people of the state.

Kolkata, Jan 29 : Rebel Trinamool Congress leader Rajib Banerjee on Friday resigned from the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) and tendered his resignation letter to party supremo and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
Earlier in the day, Rajib Banerjee had also resigned from the West Bengal legislative Assembly. On January 22, he had stepped down as state forest minister.
Rajib Banerjee was an MLA from the Domjur Assembly constituency in Howrah district. On Friday, he met Speaker Biman Banerjee in the Assembly and tendered his resignation.
Before his resignation, Rajib Banerjee had openly ridiculed the TMC leadership accusing it of not giving due respect to loyal and hard-working leaders and workers of the party.

A day after quitting West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee s Cabinet, Trinamool MLA Rajib Banerjee on Saturday said he is still with the party but his future move will depend on the situation.
