Suspect where you see the detectives working behind that truck. This all started at one of the Stores Shopping centers around 12 30. Employees at a store called police about a shoplifter. They said she was armed with a gun. They chased her under the highway 24 overpass and into the city of oakland where three Police Officers confronted the woman on the street in the 3400 block of hollis. Several reporters asked police if the woman pointed her gun at them and heres what they had to say. Our sfefrs located the suspect in the 3400 block of hollis street. They were advised that the suspect was armed with a gun. The officers discharged their weapons, striking the suspect. Reporter so there was no definitive answer on whether or not the woman pointed the gun at the police or how many shots were fired or if she fired any shots. Officers then followed the debris trail and the scrape in the road and that led them to where we are now half a mile away at this scene. Officers say this is the suspect vehicle and it was on fire when they found it. Officers put out the flames with their own fire extinguisher and found the female victim laying outside of the vehicle. These are all questions that police are trying to figure out at this time. They say they are not looking for anybody else. They do say that the scene will be active for at least a few more hours.
