A man who died after a Sunday morning shooting outside a Fargo restaurant and bar was employed by the establishment, according to police.
Fargo Police say the victim was 28-year-old Dominique Dewayne McNair, who had no permanent address.
The incident happened in the parking lot of Africa Restaurant and Nightclub near the border of Fargo and West Fargo.
Police say the person or persons involved in the shooting are not in custody and pose a risk to the public, after showing what police called “an obvious disregard for public safety.”
Police say they are conducting interviews and reviewing video as part of their investigation.

It’s unclear what led to the shooting or how many people were involved. Police said McNair is an Africa employee and that he was working the night he was shot dead. The restaurant did not return a message left by The Forum seeking comment.
Police responded to the nightclub and restaurant after 2 a.m. Sunday to investigate the shooting that happened in a parking lot west of the establishment. Police released few details about the shooting Monday, as officers still were conducting interviews, reviewing video and taking measures to identify those involved in the killing.
A fatal shooting occurred at the Africa Restaurant and Nightclub parking lot early morning on Sunday, May 23, 2021, in Fargo.
