Sad to say, cheers and boos will not be heard during the first Dota 2 Major tournament in 14 months as the ONE Esports Singapore Major presented by PGL will be held behind closed-doors.
But this will be done in line with the health and safety protocols amid the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure that the much-awaited event will push through as scheduled.
The SG Major is set on March 27 to April 4 at the Fairmont Hotel, featuring the top 18 teams in the world which will battle it out for the lion’s share of the $500,000 (P24.2 million) prize pool on top of precious Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) points needed to secure a direct invite to the million-dollar The International.
