Man arrested after car, foot pursuit

A Shelbyville man was arrested after leading sheriff’s deputies on a car and foot pursuit Saturday night in Franklin.
Dominick Elisha Grimes, 22, was arrested on charges of resisting law enforcement with a motor vehicle, a Level 6 felony, resisting law enforcement and an out-of-county warrant for a battery charge.
A sheriff’s deputy was driving toward U.S. 31 on Hospital Road, when he ran the plate of a car in front of him and learned the plate was not registered to that car, according to a Johnson County Sheriff’s Office report.

1460 block of Jason Ave.: A woman reported at 4:53 a.m. Monday that she received a phone call from Freddy’s, was told to take all the money from the drawers and safe, buy a gift card, then give the man on the phone the card numbers, he then hung up and she realized it was a scam.
2801 N. Morton St., police department: A man reported at 2:49 p.m. Thursday that his ex-wife transferred funds to her account without his permission.
