The novel idea is the brainchild of singer Trudi Lalor and her songwriter husband Billy Morrissey, who really wanted to do something for their struggling industry while doing something positive for their lovely fans. And so the Reach Out campaign was born.

O Donnell, who recorded Crystal Chandeliers with Charley Pride, said his death was a very, very sad loss . Pride was one of the few international singers who regularly toured Northern Ireland during The Troubles. I loved Charley s music from my earliest memory, Daniel O Donnell told BBC Radio Ulster s Good Morning Ulster programme. I was lucky enough then to get to know him when I started singing myself. He was a lovely man.
