Town’s Dom Ball is relishing the chance to help Town advance to the last eight of the Carabao Cup if, as expected, he is included in manager Kieran McKenna’s starting line-up for the fourth-round clash with Fulham tomorrow night at Portman Road.
A Premier League team will return to Portman Road for the first time since Fulham paid a visit on 16th September 2020 in the second round of this competition.
Goals at each end of the match from Dom Ball and Freddie Ladapo saw the Blues to a comfortable 2-0 Papa Johns Trophy victory over Arsenal’s U21s at Portman Road. Ball gave Town the lead with his first for the club in the third minute and Town had had opportunities to increase their lead before Ladapo added the second with five minutes left on the clock.
Town boss Kieran McKenna is still waiting for left-back Leif Davis to be assessed after the former Leeds man limped off at Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, while the Town manager says a couple of other players will also be going for scans today.
