Two felony charges were filed Tuesday against a Santa Maria Valley man suspected of the fatally shooting of his wife over the weekend.
Eladio Herrera, 63, was charged in Santa Barbara County Superior Court in connection with the death of Dolores Reyes, 38, late Sunday night inside a home on the 1800 block of Ironwood Drive in the Tanglewood subdivision west of Santa Maria.
Responding to a domestic-disturbance call at approximately 10:45 p.m., Santa Barbara County sheriff’s deputies found Herrera sitting in a car in front of the residence. He allegedly told deputies he shot his wife inside the house.

The next day, cans and bottles filled with soil and the promise of money appear at the doorstep of the young woman’s house, each a desperate cry for help. Haunted by what she has already seen, including the ghost of Seño
