3 ladies on the 5km run with Nepali weight baskets The Doko Challenge is returning in 2021 at Greystoke Castle this year, planned for the 23rd May on Sunday. This unique 5km race, termed as running with a twist, will see runners lacing up their boots and pulling on a Nepali Doko basket, and taking on the ‘Bravest of the Brave. The race is based on the traditional Gurkha recruitment race, this 5km run allows participants to choose from an option of three weights to carry along the route - 5kg, 10kg, and 15kg. Just to make the race even more challenging, the race coordinators want to see if the record time of 46 minutes can be beaten this year. Volunteers can also join the event to help staff make the run as enjoyable as possible.
