HOUSTON A man is charged with manslaughter after a passenger was killed in a rollover crash Monday night in northeast Houston.
Houston police responded to the crash scene at 9:20 p.m. in the 4100 block of Wayne Street near Crane Street.
Investigators said a red Doge Ram pickup truck was speeding in the northbound lanes when the driver ran a stop sign at the intersection.
According to police, the driver lost control of the vehicle before it rolled over, left the roadway and then struck a utility pole.
The incident began early Sunday morning when Sanchez confronted the woman and her parents as they returned to their home in Pembroke Pines. He forced them at gunpoint into their pickup truck and drove them to several banks to get cash from ATMs, police said.

He continued on to Belle Glade in Palm Beach County, where he left the parents on the side of the road and then left in the stolen vehicle with Martinez.
Early Monday morning, police say the duo were spotted in Alexandria, Virginia, and stopped. Sanchez was taken into custody while Martinez was taken to an area hospital to be treated for injuries.
