According to Fairfield DD, the new position incorporates supervision of the Facilities, IT and Transportation departments.
In a media release, Fairfield DD Superintendent John Pekar said the organization is excited to have McCollough on the team. [McCollough] has established himself not only as a leader in the county, but also as a dedicated public servant, said Pekar, who cares deeply for his community and the people who occupy it. His unique skill set is certain to be an asset to Fairfield DD.
According to the release, McCollough previously served Fairfield County as dog warden and Dog Adoption Center director from 2013 to 2020. McCollough was also recognized by the National Association of Counties with an achievement award in 2019.

ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. (WBTV) - A very ambitious goal has been reached that will soon mean a new dog adoption center will be built in Rowan County. A group called Shelter Guardians is working with the county on the $2.3 million project.
Chris Bradshaw is the general contractor for the new dog adoption center, but as a dog owner and lover, it’s also a project that he has put his heart into.
