June 2, 1841: The Whig presented an interesting opinion. “There is a sort of third party organizing in this town, both numerous and influential which may fitly be decominated (sic)
calling it. they re calling it a second revolution, a second day of rage. essentially, these are many of the same groups that initially started the revolution back in january. they re essentially, not really directing their anger at any one institution, although it does seem to be the military to some extent, but really what it is, is just a frustration of the pace of the transition. they don t think things are moving fast enough. they want to see former president mubarak and his sons tried more quickly. the government has suggested that is, in fact, going to happen. they are going to put them on trial. a trial that could very well end in the death penalty. they re releasing some of the protesters that were imprisoned, but the protesters here say they re still a long way to go and they just want it all to happen a lot faster. savannah? nbc s lee cowan with all the headlines from the middle east this morning, from cairo. lee, thank you. we ll stay overseas. members of the g-8 are of
