is not as effective this year. the bottom line is getting the flu shot is important. and including being pregnant. it protect yourself and those around you. if cdc recommends anyone over 6 months of age should get it and specific allergy and reaction to it in the past and majority of americans should get it, healthy adults, doesn t mean you shouldn t get it, your protecting those around you. the effective rate is 60% or something like that. there s a lot of anti-vaccine energy in the world. does that worry a doctor? of course it does.
we have to accept the fact he won t be dislodged from office even if the senate impeached. that doesn t mean you shouldn t impeach him. there s an argument for institutional accountability and force congress to say there are some acts there has to be accountability for. not necessarily that they re going to get rid of him. but that is a factor in the 2020 election. i have been resistant to impeachment, not fully against it. but if donald trump keeps crashing through these norms and doing things and forcing the hand of people who don t want to act that way and i m now persuaded impeachment for the issue of accountability and institution of congress to say we will oversee this and we won t let him get away with it with no cost. that they need to act. we need legal expertise.
domination and control. we are born free and we will stay free. [cheers and applause] [cheers and applause] [chanting u.s.a.] martha: scowling at those comments as did alexandria ocasio-cortez. even chuck schumer seemed to leave the door a little bit open on this general idea when pressed. do you support measure capitalism and do you think american capitalism is worth defending and fighting for? okay the answer is we are a capitalist country, yes. you have to work with capitalism. that doesn t mean you shouldn t make it better. martha: okay. see what you think about that up to interpretation. joining me now is bill bennett former education secretary and fox news contributor and host of the bill bennett podcast. bill, good evening. always good to have you with us on this story. i thought senator schumer seemed pretty clear on that.
the senate, do you support that? hold on. do you support american capitalism and do you think american capitalism is worth defending and fighting for? okay. the answer is we are a capitalist country, yes, you have to work with capitalism. that doesn t mean you shouldn t make it better. agreed. i put out an op-ed, you would be sympathetic to this, joe, i heard you talk about these buybacks, where we said, listen to this number. from 2007 to 2016, the top 500 companies, 83% of their profits went to buybacks and dividends. none of that money goes to helping their workers other communities. that s why senator sanders and i said we should not allow buybacks. they didn t used to exist before 1980 unless they will help their workers. that s not socialism. that s putting guard rails on capitalism, what we need.
researchers are comparing this to a newborn child. we ll look at the way this computer robot can learn. all the details top of the hour on shepard smith reporting. we ll see you then. dana: reaction to controversial late term abortion legislation in several states with the governors of rhode island and virginia sparking outrage over bills that would essentially allow termination of unviable fetuses up until the moment of birth. the virginia bill was defeated by republicans but governor northam now facing criticism over comments he made on a radio show. take a listen. we want the government not to be involved in these types of decisions. we want the decision to be made by the mothers and their providers. and this is why, julie, that legislators, most of whom are men, shouldn t be telling a woman what she should and shouldn t be doing with her body. dana: senator ben sass who
