evidence of the father doing anything other than loving that son. and that, i think, doesn t fly with most of the american people. todd: completely missing the point. joe concha is a fox news contributor and columnist for the messenger of. he joins us now. not the first time, won t be the last the president has commented on the relationship with his son specifically with regard to the addiction issues. the new york times says the real lesson from the hunter biden saga is that, quote, the president does offer a fine model of the love and support that people with addictions need. joe, since when does an addiction problem and people that have said problem engage in alleged multi million dollars foreign bribery scheme? todd, carley, this has nothing to do with alcohol addiction or drug addiction or dad s love for his son. this has everything to do with the millions upon millions of dollars that went to not only hunter biden but james biden, halle biden and, most
what they have been doing. they re going to try to indict a father for loving his son, who has been addicted to drugs and or alcohol. without evidence of the father doing anything other than loving that sun. and that, i think, doesn t fly with most of the american people. it may fly within that small classified circle of trumpers who want to believe that somehow joe biden was involved in nefarious dealings, but there is no evidence. and believe me, if there was evidence, durham, who is left in place by biden, would ve found it. and certainly rice, who is left in place by president biden, would have found it. and i do not believe for a minute that either one of those federal prosecutors that have the resources of doj at their disposal would have found evidence if it was there, it would ve shown any problem of joe biden. s so this is a dogs it won t hunt. they have selective amnesia, by
i don t think trump he used to say anybody who pays taxes is a sucker. you gave me a perfect transition to put on your political hat. what i m curious about is what you will be watching over the next couple of days. hunter biden is a favorite target of republicans in the house. republicans from the trump wing of the party, and others. what accusations that arguments do you think they re going to make, given this didn t go exactly as planned today? they re going to keep doing what they have been doing. they re going to try to indict a father for loving his son, who has been addicted to drugs and or alcohol. without evidence of the father doing anything other than loving that son. and that, i think, doesn t fly with most of the american people. it may fly within that small classified circle of the trumpers who want to believe that somehow joe biden was involved in nefarious dealings, but there is no evidence. and believe me, if there was evidence, durham, who is left in place by bi
it s tough to believe this isn t some form of stoastic terrorism, we have seen this happen enough times with the former president that it s no longer unknowing, it s no longer something where we can claim credibly that he s not aware of the sort of threat that results when he does this. there was an individual who seized on the rhetoric, and began sending explosive devices, which fortunately didn t function, to politicians and members of the media. this sort of thing is now a pattern, and for trump to say he s unaware of the risk he imposes on people by doing it simply doesn t fly. to your point, he does have a long history of attacking prosecutors, and so listen to this tape where it sort of lays out some of these trump attacks over the years. all of these attorney generals, maybe you guys can get
officials in iowa. he s under the radar, but there s a lot of people still to keep an eye on. i want to look at iowa right now. nia, desantis has pushed the argument in a general election, he s more likely to beat biden than donald trump, but that s not necessarily how iowa caucus-goers see it. take a look at the new fox business poll that just came out. 45% say trump is the most likely to beat biden, nearly double the number who picked deesantis. yeah. i think this kind of logical argument that you see desantis and his campaign making, that he is more electable than donald trump, it just doesn t fly. people want to feel something from their candidates and for their candidates. donald trump has that in spades.
